An Arlington, Virginia native, Catherine Branstetter grew up watching her interior designer mother work at her drafting table for hours. She too would draw at her mini drafting table beside hers and was attracted to design at a young age.

Upon graduating from the University of Georgia, Catherine moved to Atlanta where she was fortunate enough to work for Carter Kay Interiors for over 5 years. It was during that time where she honed her own style and was immersed in the industry. While working for CKI, Catherine took design courses at the Savannah College of Art & Design.

Whether it be the honey-colored limestone cottages in the Cotswolds or the white-washed houses and blue domes of Santorini, Catherine continuously draws inspiration from her love of traveling. Her travels are reflected in her designs which exude a collected and comfortable feel. Catherine’s designs are a mixture of old with new pieces and are not only beautiful but functional.

Catherine moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 2019 with her husband, Austin, and their springer spaniel, Winnie. She then worked for Rachel Halvorson Designs where she continued to learn from one of the South’s top interior designers. She opened the doors of Catherine Branstetter Interiors in 2021 after the birth of their son, Charlie. She and Austin welcomed their daughter Lily in 2023. Catherine realizes that the design process can be overwhelming and strives to make it approachable and fun.
